Hello! Glad you came to visit my blog! I am Michelle, the proud mother of three, and I have severe food allergies. I am allergic to eggs and peanuts, and have been since birth. I don’t just break out into hives, (not to make it sound like hives are a walk in the park) I have an anaphylactic reaction to these foods. I cannot eat anything that is baked with eggs either. Such as, most cakes, cookies, etc.
When my son was born, it became evident early on that he was not just lactose intolerant, but allergic to dairy. He, too, has an anaphylactic reaction to dairy products and anything containing dairy derivatives. Fortunately, my husband and two daughters have no food allergies.
We are a real family on a real budget. When you have three growing kids, and multiple food allergies, food is a real issue. It is not within our financial means to do all of our grocery shopping at health food stores and organic markets. So, over the years I have learned how to stretch our food budget while still addressing our specific dietary needs.
Yes, my kitchen is chaotic, but there is always food to share!
